Naturally Savvy's Mental Health Tips For Weight Loss Naturally Savvy

The participants of The Naturally Savvy Weight Loss Challenge experienced how to meditate and breathe deeply with help from Caroline Dupont, our Meditation Expert. To learn about incorporating meditation into your weight loss routine, watch Part 1 of The Naturally Savvy Weight Loss Video. Mental health and emotional eating play a major role in successful weight loss.

Here are some tips for improving your emotional and mental health:

Be aware of your comfort foods. Consider why you eating them and what you could do to limit their consumption. Are you eating because you are stressed? Instead, go to the gym and blow off some steam, call a friend, or take up some journal writing. Write in a journal using a free flow approach. Keeping your pen moving and write whatever you are thinking. You will be surprised how fast the thoughts will come once you get started.

Smile more often. Try smiling when you are waiting in line or in your car a stop light. It is virtually impossible to feel sad when you have a grin spread across your face.

Consider awareness eating for weight loss and overall health. When you are mindful of what and how you are eating, you will consume less calories and improve digestion.

Get support. Tell your friends and family members the changes you are making, ask them for support. Also, address emotional eating with Bach Emotional Eating Support Kit.

Lastly, consider the following eating affirmations, provided by Caroline Dupont:

I eat when I’m hungry.

I eat what my body wants.

I eat without distractions*.

I eat sitting down in a calm environment.

I eat with the intention of being in full view of others.

I eat with enjoyment, gusto and pleasure.

I eat until I’m satisfied
