This salad is so healthy and fresh and I adore the salty tang of the feta. This recipe is lacto-ovo vegetarian, gluten free and egg free. Also you can make it raw, by using raw vinegar and raw milk feta.
Soft, Clothing for All Children |
Did you know that one in every 150 children have sensory needs that are not addressed by the children's clothing market today? Soft, the makers of "clothing for all children" did! In fact, they were the first to design a line of clothing for children which takes sensory needs into consideration. Children who have Autism, Aspergers and Sensory Processing Disorder don't need to worry anymore about itchy tags, materials, seam lines, artificial dyes, buttons or even zippers- Soft have taken care of that!
After two years of marketing research from non-profit organizations, parents and children, Jessica Elsas founded Soft. Working as a Special Education Teacher with an MA in Early Childhood Special Education and a background in art and design, she came up with the idea for Soft while working with a child with sensory issues. The Impact of Clothing Now partnered with Suzy Kogen Friedman, who is co-director and lifelong advocate for people with developmental disabilities- including her brother, sister in-law and nine year old son with Autism, who is her inspiration- these two women are unstoppable. They both realized the impact clothing has on the lives of Special Needs children and the importance of addressing that issue. Now, parents of special needs children can breathe a sigh of relief, and not worry about the daily hassle of dressing. Soft products are so well made, beautifully designed, creative, and oh-so-soft. The 'Mom' Verdict When we were first approached about reviewing Soft's line of clothing I was intrigued because my five year old daughter is very particular about the clothes she wears. She refuses to wear certain socks because the seems bother her toes and the tags on her t-shirts irritate her back. After trying the sample they sent me, I came to realize Soft isn't only a clothing line for children with special needs, but also for any child who is particular with what they wear. I really liked the fact that the shirt they sent has the label printed instead of sewn, and appreciated the use of vegetable dyes and natural enzyme washes to protect their children from allergies. With their comfortable clothes geared toward Special Needs kids, Soft has simultaneously brought awareness to a void in children's clothing manufacturing and provided a excellent solution. They currently design for children aged 4 to 12, but considering how well-made the pieces are, I won't be surprised if we see an adult line available in the near future. Congratulations Soft, you have without a doubt earned the Naturally Savvy Seal of Approval. Keep up the inspiring work.
