precycling

Do you ever wonder just how many bottles and cans of soda the average family goes through every year? Just think of all the times you lugged a bin full of recyclable bottles and cans down to the curb on garbage day. Overwhelming, isn't it?

Precycling

Instead of recycling, why not start precycling? We here at Naturally Savvy are always looking for ways to cut down on the amount of waste we produce, and by precycling, we can reduce our carbon footprint by preventing waste before it happens. Sometimes it can be difficult to precycle since many of our favorite foods and drinks come in far too much packaging.

With SodaStream, you can create your own soda in an eco-friendly way at home with beautiful reusable bottles. Each SodaStream bottle has a lifespan of three years, is BPA-free and contains no substances that produce phthalates or PCBs.

Say Bye Bye to Bottles

By bottling your own soda at home, you can say goodbye to lugging around heavy bottles or carting cases of cans home from the grocery store, resulting in less pollution.

Once you try SodaStream's delicious soda, you'll never want to go back to those stodgy store-bought brands. With more than 60 different syrup flavors to choose from -- including everything from classic soda and root beer to fizzy energy drinks -- you'll never run out of different drinks combinations.

We admit, the prospect of making our own soda seemed a little daunting at first, but we were pleasantly surprised that the entire process was a breeze. SodaStream sent us the soda maker, a bottle of carbonated gas (one canister should last about a month), flavor drops and two, 1-litre bottles to hold the soda.

Savvy Soda Makers

When we opened the box and began setting up the system, we were shocked to find that we didn't have to plug in anything! This was going to be easy. In fact, the initial set up took less than five minutes.

Making the soda was just as easy. After chilling filtered water in the fridge, you simply place the bottle in the maker and press the 'fizz' button three to four times to add some bubbles.

Add a few drops of flavor syrup, and voila, you've got instant soda.

SodaStream's soda is completely refreshing, full of bubbles and felt good to drink since we made it ourselves! We tried the soda with the lemon/lime and orange natural flavor and fell in love.

This is a perfect alternative for any soda enthusiast. After trying SodaStream, there's no way we're going back to those awkward 2-liter bottles. The SodaStream system saves you money in the long run too, especially if you're a big time soda drinker.

The SodaStream makes a perfect gift for any soda fan, so let's raise a glass of the bubbly to precycling and SodaStream. They definitely deserve the Naturally Savvy Seal of Approval.
