Roll it Rite
The average American uses over 50 pounds of toilet paper a year. How much of that do you think is actually used, and not wasted paper? Inventors of Roll it Rite have designed a new contraption that will help eliminate the TP waste and save on your household toilet paper by 20- 50%.
When creator David Patrick was younger he believed that there must be a way to keep excess toilet paper from coming off the roll. Between kids, pets and extravagant toilet paper users, a roll can last only a day or two. After some years, David eventually created the Roll it Rite. The backbone of this environmentally conscious company is based on two major goals. The first is a commitment to give back to the community by contributing to non-profit organizations. The second goal is to make people’s lives more green.
Essentially, Roll it Rite is a foam insert which goes around your toilet paper roll bar. It creates a drag which slows down the speed of paper coming off the roll. Once you stop pulling the toilet paper, the toilet paper stops rolling off the tube. It limits the user to only take what they need and it prevents children and pets from playing the unwinding/ mummy game!
Made from soy based foam, Roll it Rite will last about 3-9 months, depending on usage. It’s easy to apply to any bathroom paper holder as well as paper towels. Roll it Rite saves you money on these paper products as well as helping to reduce your carbon footprint.
We tried it out in a high traffic bathroom where one roll of TP does not last long. The foam insert was simple to apply and gave off a slight flowery scent. As soon as the paper was pulled the sheets came off at a snail's pace. And once you stopped pulling, it stopped unrolling. No excess, no waste.
If you’re interested in lowering your toilet paper waste while greening your bathroom, Roll it Rite is a product you should definitely investigate.
