We tried ‘Nobody’s Baby’ and ‘Shell Shock’ from Ilia Pure Lip Care's first ever capulse collection. While the color is intense, we feel Ilia leans more towards a gloss then a lipstick. Layering colors and experimenting with different color combinations would be fun with this lipstick line. The shades are more lustrous then matte and are easily applied with a simple swipe. Depending on the color you choose, the more intense colors require some help from a mirror when applying them, but the result is worth it. The colors we tried went on smoothly, they were moist, and they had a silky texture that felt good on our lips. Due to the fact Ilia doesn't contain any dyes or harsh chemicals, we had to re-apply the lipstick a few times throughout the day -- a small feat to avoid swallowing harsh chemicals.
