Instant Oatmeal Pancakes
Start your day right with some delicious organic oatmeal pancakes. Ready in an instant!
- 1 large egg
- 2/3 cup well-shaken buttermilk
- 2 packages Natures Path HempPlus Instant Hot Oatmeal
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil
- Maple syrup, honey or preserves for serving
- Methods / Steps
In medium bowl lightly beat egg and blend in buttermilk. Stir in oatmeal and baking soda. Let sit for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile heat a heavy griddle or large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Brush panlightly with oil. When a drop of water placed on pansizzles, ladle on 1/8 cup (2 tbls.) batter per pancake (allow space for spreading). Cook until tops are dry around edges and bottoms are golden brown.For best results,edge athin spatula under entire pancakefor flipping.
Continue cooking until second side is speckled brown. Serve immediately with syrup, honey or preserves.
