Brown Jasmine Rice

Brown jasmine rice is an aromatic whole grain rice that is great along side thai or indian dishes.
- Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh chopped lemongrass
1 small carrot, diced small
1 cup onions, diced small
½ cup brown jasmine rice
1 ½ cups vegetable broth
¾ teaspoon salt
- Methods / Steps
Heat up a 2 quart saucepan with olive oil and add diced lemongrass, carrot and onions. Sauté until soft. Add broth and salt; bring to a boil. Once water is boiling, add rice, stir
and keep boiling 3 minute. Lower temperature to low (3-4 for electric stove) and cover
for 25 minutes. Do not lift lid while cooking. Fluff with a fork when finished cooking. - Additional Tips
