Vegetarians should be aware that gelatin capsules and some excipients are derived from animal sources (beef or pork).

To completely avoid animal products, look for "veggi-caps" or some other notation that a supplement is purely plant-based.

  • Buy a pocket dictionary (food-additive based), take it with you to the health food store and look up anything you are unsure of

  • For freshness and purity, ensure proper packaging of the product (ie: sealed)
