Colloidal Silver Creates a Human Smurf
Recently the news media shocked us with images of Paul Karason, who turned blue as a result of long term use of an ionic form of the “super antibiotic” colloidal silver. The 57-year old has a condition called Argyria, characterized by a permanent bluish discoloration of the skin. Ionic silver settles in the organs as a heavy metal. The body attempts to expel it through the skin. Argyria occurs when sunlight interacts with the silver deposited in the skin and gives it a bluish color.
Colloidal silver denotes any fluid containing silver for medicinal purposes. In 1978, Science Digest reported, "Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different disease organisms, but silver kills some 650.”* Prior to 1938, colloidal silver was widely used by physicians as an antibiotic and anti-fungal remedy. For a while colloidal silver was even produced by pharmaceutical companies. Nowadays, colloidal silver is used as a popular form of alternative medicine to kill pathogens and fight infections. The presence of colloidal silver near a virus, fungus, bacterium or any other single celled pathogen incapacitates its oxygen metabolism enzyme (or respiration) killing the pathogen within minutes. Used sensibly and for a short term, you can count on colloidal silver to fight colds, flu, strep, yeast infections or other infections. Taken orally, the silver solution is absorbed into the bloodstream and quickly transported to cells. Swishing the solution under the tongue briefly before swallowing may result in faster absorption. Look for a metallic nano-silver with an oxide coating. The coating makes the product significantly more effective on pathogens than the ionic form and does not harm friendly intestinal flora.
