stressedHi everyone. I just finished my first live broadcast and I am psyched!

Your emails of congrats and well wishes mean so much to me—I feel like Sally Field when she accepted her Academy Award a number of years ago and said to the audience, “You like me, you really like me!”

I think the show went very well. I had 48 minutes and did it in 47 minutes and 50 seconds. Not bad, eh!

During this first show of Living a Healthier Life, I was able to talk about a very serious problem and that is how stress can actually be, for some, a chronic slow burn, causing immense damage to internal organs and to one’s emotional well-being.

We are a society that lives in crisis-mode. We try to cram so much in one day and we are modeling this very destructive behavior to our children. I know a woman who has her daughter in some type of activity every single day of the workweek and then on the weekends she is in softball! The woman cannot sit still for one minute; she makes me nervous just being around her!

I have already lined up guest speakers for my next two shows on June 3 and 10: Ilene Corina from PULSE and Doug Wojcieszak from SorryWorks Coalition. Both organizations deal with medical mismanagement, a problem that is very dear to my heart. I hope you will tune in for both programs.

For years, I have worked very hard to find a variety of platforms, from discharge teaching in the hospital setting, to college professor, and in private practice to present my ideologies about patient self-advocacy in health care and all that this entails.

Obviously now having the opportunity to reach so many through Internet radio is a dream come true for me. I will do these three shows and then the archives are monitored for listenership from the period of June 10 to July 2. I will find out on July 3 if I have a permanent regular weekly radio spot.

Thank you again for all of your support and your continued support.

Good night,

Your Host, Dr. Linda Mundorff
