Naturally Savvy caught up with celebrity guests at the fashion house BCBG Maxazria's store on Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills for an evening of fashion and philanthropy hosted by Daniella Peters, Actress CSI Miami's Sofia Milos and Emmy Award winning stylist Birgit Muller. Guests were treated to a showcase of the clothing brand's holiday collection by Muller with proceeds from the evening's sales being donated by BCBG Maxazria to the Rally for Kids with Cancer Foundation chaired by Eva Longoria Parker. (Stars from TV and film came out to see the new collection while showing their support for the incredible cause).

Texas Battle, best known for his role on The Bold And The Beautiful was kind enough to take some time to chat with us about his take on green living and health.

Naturally Savvy Question (Andrea): What can we do on a daily basis to help preserve the planet?

Texas Battle: The number one thing I can say is recycle.  I think recycling is very important and I recycle bottles and plastic bags. Recycling is key.

Naturally Savvy Question (Andrea): What type of physical activities do you do to stay healthy?

Texas Battle: I go to the gym. If I don't, I feel like crap. I have to make sure and do something physical like basketball, jog, or run up and down hills or stairs. I think staying healthy is key because California is known as one of the most unhealthy states in the US. I also think nutrition is important  (I went to school for that). But I try and do something physical every day for at least for an hour.

Naturally Savvy Question (Andrea): What recommendation(s) would you have for parents to motivate their kids to get active?

Texas Battle: I think parents need to stop letting their kids stay home and play video games all day long. But do you know who sets that example? I believe there's a lot of adults who sit there and play as well. It starts with that pattern and the kids see it and follow along, and that's what needs to change. It starts in the home. If the adults begin to change their ways, then their children will follow and change too.

Naturally Savvy Question (Andrea): Tell us what being a part of BCBG’s Rally For Kids With Cancer means to you.

Texas Battle: You know, I think what we're doing here today is a start but there should be more. I just saw the movie ‘Waiting For Superman’, and it made me think there's so much more we can do. I mean, we spend a lot of money on unnecessary things, and we don't do enough in our own country. When I have kids, I am going to do everything I possibly can for them, so giving back is important, but I think we can all do a little bit more.

Naturally Savvy: Thanks Texas!
