
Q: I heard a way to clean veggies is spraying them with hydrogen peroxide. Is this true?
A: Yes, it's true! In fact, you can use food grade hydrogen peroxide alone. The method I use is soaking rather than spraying. It takes a little longer but provides a more thorough cleaning. On occasion, I soak meat and fish in hydrogen peroxide for about 10 minutes before cooking, and the meat seems to taste even better. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
