Meditation

Meditation refers to the practice of training the mind to induce a mode of consciousness to attain a variety of benefits. It places an emphasis on deep breathing and allowing oneself to free its consciousness of thoughts. In many circles it is looked at as the foundation of good health.

While there are many notable internal and psychological benefits to meditation, recent studies suggest that regular meditation can also provide a variety of physical benefits as well. These benefits can include decreased muscle tension and blood pressure, an increase in overall energy level, improved digestion and circulation and an enhancing of the overall immune system and function.  Ultimately, meditation can be an entirely restful and regenerative experience for the entire body.
