Q: What combinations of vegetarian foods add up to complete proteins? – Chris

A: Plant foods contain most, but not all amino acids. You don’t have to worry about incomplete proteins as long as you combine plant foods from at least two categories:  grains, beans, vegetables, fruit, nuts/seeds. Meal examples include: brown rice and beans, or a large green salad topped with nuts or seeds.
