Why Do We Need Earth Day?

One day we will realize that the environment merely reflects the degree to which we have forgotten who we are. Until that day, the Earth's symptoms give us an excuse to do something nice for something other than ourselves. When we give, we remember who we are. 

If we knew how magnificent we are and we treated ourselves with the care and compassion that Creation does, there would be no need for Earth Day. Every day would be Earth Day.  

When you love yourself, you see yourself in everything and everyone and there is no separation.
 
Ironic that when we actually fully remember how loved and infinite we are, we won't have the need for environmental disasters to give us an opportunity to give anymore—because we won't need reminding of our capacity to give.

When we awaken, we are humbled by the fact that Heaven has been around us—and within us—the whole time. There is only one way to treat such beauty: with respect, love and reverence.

One day Earth Day will simply be a celebration of the Heaven we were granted here on Earth and within our hearts. Remember who you are, and Heaven will appear instantly because it was always there.
