I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. juvenile rheumatoid arthritis rheumatoid arthritis symptoms

Q: I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and my hands are quite sore. I eat pretty badly and usually one meal a day. I’ve been very lucky all my life with very few medical problems, and now that I’m almost 50, I’m falling apart. Any advice? -Sasha

A: R.A. is an auto-immune disease. First of all, a naturopathic doctor will put you on a plan. As far as diet, the best diet for R.A. is the candida diet. No sugar, bread, yeast products, or alcohol, but instead loads of vegetables (especially raw), fish, and lean protein, and probiotic-rich foods like kefir and sauerkraut. For supplements you need: probiotics, omega-3 (anti-inflammatory), L-glutamine (twice daily, up to 5000 mg).

Look up the candida diet on the internet. This is a great website for information and dietary advice: http://www.thecandidadiet.com/foodstoeat.htm.
