One concern consumers often have about the usage of fish products is the issue of overfishing and the extinction of certain species.  Attention has been given to this issue that is affecting our global waters.  Carlson Laboratories’ position has been, and will always be, to work very closely with their Norwegian suppliers. Working together, they ensure that not only is the fish used in Carlson fish oils of the highest quality, but also from fish that has not come from overfished waters. Using Norwegian Arctic Ocean Cod Fish in their Cod Liver Oil (which is not an overfished species), ensures the resources used in the production of Carlson products are sustainable. Carlson continues to remain in constant contact with their suppliers to keep current on environmental issues facing their products.

Carlson is also committed to recycling and reusing materials whenever possible. The materials used in bottling and packaging their supplements are recyclable and they encourage those that use their products to properly dispose of excess materials whenever possible by recycling shipping materials, product bottles, etc.  Carlson uses energy efficient equipment and their facilities have been constructed using energy efficient materials.  Carlson corporate offices have also adopted this “go-green” mentality by significantly reducing the use of paper in the office along with taking advantage of local recycling programs for the waste they do produce.  Carlson has taken on the responsibility of doing their part for the environment.  This, along with providing the finest quality nutritional supplements, is, and always will be, a top priority.
