Tomorrow evening, you’re invited to the interactive world premiere of the new documentary Qapirangajuq: Inuit Knowledge And Climate Change.
This is an amazing opportunity to discover a completely different view of climate change and explores how it is actually affecting the human rights of the Indigenous people. It’s the world’s first Inuktitut language film that sheds light on how the warming temperatures are affecting the people of the Arctic who for centuries have had such a deep knowledge of their land.
In the documentary you will hear from everyone from elders to hunters who discuss just how their lives, as well as the landscape around them, is changing. It is a fascinating look into a topic that we know so much, yet so little, about.
Tomorrow is the film’s world premiere screening where renowned filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk and researcher Ian Mauro will be talking to YOU and answering YOUR questions. So how can you be a part of a the action?
For anyone unable to attend the Toronto showing, there will be a live video webcast of the film at www.isuma.tv/ikcc. Just tune in at 7:00 pm EST.
After the film, virtual audience members are invited to join the live discussion by logging onto Skype to participate. The Skype username to add is: isumatv.ikcc.
