How Low Can You Go....

Oh Sugar. Oh Honey Honey.

Now that I've put that sweet song in your head at such an early time of day let's talk about something that I've been struggling with lately.

Sugar & I have been getting a little too close lately and I've been thinking about breaking up with her.

I love to bake and usually whip up healthy treats a couple times a week so that I never have to succumb to a sugar laden, highly processed baked good with my afternoon coffee.
Well - we've been traveling lately and the kitchen time has fallen off and while it's been a nice change to let go of the daily to-do list and just go with the flow, my energy is tanking because I'm just not treating my body good.

I love meal planning & cooking up healthy meals every day for my family because it gives us tons of healthy energy to fuel our full lives. But I've always struggled with the sweets. I have a fast burning metabolism and I'm always on the go so I think my body craves things that break down a little quicker. But, sugar wreaks havoc on our systems and can be found in almost everything we eat if we're not careful.

So...I've decided to join in on the 5-day Low Glycemic Eating Challenge that one of my favourite Nutritionista's is hosting.
