National Geographic and YouTube have paired up to bring you an awesome competition. The world reknowned company is releasing clips of their awe-inspiring video footage, images and music for you to create your own video about planet Earth.

The contest, called "Planet Inspired," encourages people to create short films that focus on environmental themes such as Oceans, Endagered Species, Fresh Water or Exploration.

And of course, great work deserves a great prize. And that's exactly what the grand winner will receive - a $1000 gift certificate from North Face and...a National Geographic Weekend Photography Workshop in either New York, San Francisco or Washington, D.C!

But you'll have to act soon - the deadline is November 15 so get editing!
